At Paraiso del Mar a new community is rising, a community at walking distance from the beach and very close to its future marina, surrounded by an exotic natural environment for golf and nature lovers. AMARENA FAIRWAYS, residential lots for families, a contemporary concept from 4,450 sq. ft. up to 14,450 sq. ft. where you can build the home of your dreams. Imagine yourself witnessing, from your own rooftop, the wonderful sunsets or simply relaxing and admiring the beauty of the Bay of La Paz. Choose your own sanctuary, discover your new home and make room for amazing stories never told before.
Paraiso has created a beautiful home for its residents without disrupting life for the many other species that share the peninsula. Our commitment is to protect the water and wildlife that make this place so special by supporting wildlife preservation efforts and minimizing our own impact on the land.
Within Paraiso itself, there is a palpable sense of togetherness. A welcoming spirit that encourages owners and guests to participate in the social activities on resort and to immerse themselves in the local La Paz community. This eagerness to be inviting and accessible is what turns neighbors into friends and family.
Paraiso del Mar’s location offers a wealth of activities and options for everyone—from the mariner who appreciates the biodiversity of the Sea of Cortez to the ocean angler to the sunseeker who comes for the hidden beaches. La Paz is the playground of Baja California Sur, with world-renowned diving and snorkeling and opportunities for boating and just about any type of water sport.
For its incredible location and distinctive lifestyle, Paraiso is refreshingly affordable. People in this community are about collecting experiences, not things, and the lifestyle here is suited for exactly that. Homes are sized and priced for everyday living, and the most common forms of transportation around the resort are golf carts and bicycles. This is laid-back luxury the way it’s supposed to be.
Paraiso del Mar is already a thriving community, and there’s more coming to this special place. The master plan calls for a variety of neighborhoods, including: single-family homes, residential lots, condominiums, and the planned development of a hotel Project. Today, residents and guests can enjoy the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arthur Hills and a pro shop with golf clothing and equipment. The master plan also includes a second golf course on the western side of the property, to be constructed when the time is right. Future amenities include a full-service beach club, expanded golf clubhouse, private marina, restaurants, and a market.
Designed by famed golf course architect Arthur Hills, the Paraiso del Mar Golf Course overlooks rolling sand dunes against a backdrop of the bright blue Sea of Cortez. The 72-par, 7,100-yard course looks onto the stunning Bay of La Paz and features native plants like ocotillo cactus and the Baja wild plum.
Paraiso currently has one tennis court and four pickleball courts available for use of residents and guests.
Cool off in the pool after a round of golf or a sea adventure in the Baja sun—or just spend the day. Las Casas and Condos sections each have an exclusive pool for the use and enjoyment of their owners and guests.
Adjacent to the main Paraiso pool is Survivor Bar & Grill restaurant, where homeowners and their guests can enjoy a cocktail or a full dinner. The menu offers an array of appealing selections. Many Paraiso residents especially enjoy the chance to have their daily catch prepared by our in-house chef.
The 3.5-mile walkway along the waterfront of La Paz is El Malecon, a favorite of joggers, families, and cyclists. This quaint promenade has plazas and benches where you can enjoy the sunset and admire the artwork. El Malecon is home to the parade and musical acts that are part of the annual Carnaval La Paz. Across the street are the many restaurants, boutique hotels, and shops of downtown.
A 45-minute boat ride from La Paz, Isla Espiritu Santo is a Natural Protected Area made up of lava and volcanic ash, featuring dramatic cliffs and rocky as well as sugar-sand beaches. The jewel of the Sea of Cortez, this island offers endless opportunities to explore. You can tour the island by boat—or sea kayak for a true adventure—and see whales, sea turtles, birds, and all kinds of colorful fish. People love to hike on the island, bask on its unspoiled beaches, and snorkel with sea lions.
White, powdery sand. Island views. Pristine and uncrowded coastline. This is what you’ll experience when visiting one of the beaches just north of La Paz. El Caimancito is a crescent beach walkable from downtown. There is Playa Tecolote that enjoys a panorama of Isla Espiritu Santos. It is a perfect spot for renting a palapa for the day or sipping on a cocktail from one of its beachside restaurants. Or, you might fall in love with secluded Playa Balandra, which enjoys shallow, calm waters thanks to its bay location and a front-and-center view of the distinctive mushroom rock.
To many, La Paz appeals because of its cherished history, authentic vibe, and peaceful way of life. The capital of Baja California Sur, La Paz offers old world charm and a slower pace than touristy Los Cabos, but still has the amenities and allure that Mexico is all about: beaches, easy living, arts and music, and great food. Because of its location, La Paz’s dining scene is known for its variety of seafood offerings. Local patrons grow accustomed to asking about the catch of the day when they sit down to eat at a restaurant, but La Paz is also famous for its authentic Mexican fare: tortilla enchiladas, flautas, tacos, stuffed chiles, and so much more.

The southern half of the Baja Peninsula is the state of Baja California Sur, bordered by Baja California to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Sea of Cortez to the east. While Baja California Sur is well known for the resort area of Los Cabos, it is also home to La Paz, which has amazing beaches and authentic charm. A few of the state’s lesser-known towns include Todo Santos, historic Loreto, with its sundrenched islands, and picturesque Comondu.

The Gulf of California, also known as the Sea of Cortez, is a natural wonder. Undersea explorer Jacques Cousteau famously called it “the world’s aquarium,” and for good reason. Nearly 900 species of fish and 39% of the world’s marine mammals live here, making it an ecological wonder—and a diver’s paradise. The many volcanic islands in the Gulf and contrasting coastal desert makes this a spectacular place to explore. Fishermen, divers, sailors, and boaters celebrate the Sea of Cortez for its rugged beauty and biodiversity. Living at Paraiso del Mar, you can savor the Sea of Cortez lifestyle: beach lounging by day, sunset cruising by night. Swimming with sea lions at Isla Espiritu Santo. Whale watching as hundreds of whales travel from the Bering Sea to the warm, calm waters off Baja California Sur every winter. This is the Sea of Cortez, Paraiso’s playground.
